Hello world!

While I’m waiting for my main webhost to get around to correcting as much of MY error as possible, I’m reading the news as usual and getting the impulse to rant a bit.

Now, I have a number of experimental web sites, and even two I intend to revive properly, Code by P6 and Intrapolitics.org. Fact is, though, when I’m in stupid mode I need to stay away from sites I intend to keep. Besides, an interesting question occurred to me…what would I do if I had to start from scratch?

Hm.

And what would I write about? There’s a whole range of issues on which I could babble most unauthoritatively, at odd moments. That I find the thought somewhat appealing means I’ve taken another step toward the digital hermitage, but maybe it’s a phase.

So what the hell. It was here or Blogger because I’m NOT putting a lot of work into it. I chose here because

1. I already had the account to get an Akismet key for The American Street (and I think I need to get it back for one of those blog revivals)
2. I can compare the UI here to Blogger’s new one (yeah, I’m a co-blogger somewhere)…might as well take advantage of all the research they did.
